The activities of the iRiBio group (Ionizing Radiation Interactions and Biology) are based on the development of innovative techniques for analysis, imaging and irradiation by focused ion beams to meet fundamental applications at the interface with biology, chemistry of the Living or the Environment. The research themes, essentially interdisciplinary, addressed by the group have in common to be based on the interactions of ionizing radiation (IR) and the Living, either by using IR as a probe to understand the Living or by studying the biological responses following an irradiation.
In terms of teaching, the iRiBio team is associated with the College of Life Sciences and Health and the College of Physical Sciences and Engineering at the University of Bordeaux.
